Program Highlights

As an English Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with Korean teachers to support English education in public schools. Your role will focus on conversational English and cultural exchange, allowing you to act as a cultural ambassador while gaining valuable professional experience.

  • 12-month contracts in schools across Korea
  • Monthly salary: approx. 2.0–2.5 million KRW (≈ CAD $2,000–2,500)

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline)
  • Certification: TESOL/TEFL certification (minimum 100 hours) OR a degree in Education
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience is an asset, but not required
  • Must be a native English speaker or have studied from junior high (Grade 7) in a country where English is the primary language, for at least 10 years
  • Bachelor’s degree must be from an English-language accredited university (French-language universities are not accepted for visa purposes)

Compensation & Benefits

Monthly Salary: Competitive based on qualifications and experience, 2–2.8 million KRW = approx. 2,000–2,500 CAD
Settlement Allowance: 300,000 KRW (one-time payment) = approx. 300 CAD
Entrance Allowance: 1,800,000 KRW (varies by location) = approx. 1,800 CAD
Contract Completion Bonus: Up to 1,800,000 KRW at the end of the contract = approx. 1,800 CAD
Renewal Bonus: Up to 2,000,000 KRW for contract extensions = approx. 2,000 CAD
